​Entry Rules & Procedures for YEEA Youth Awards

​Categories

Caring
This award will go to a young person who has demonstrated outstanding care for a family member or friend in need.

Fundraising (11 – 13 / 14 – 19yrs / 20 - 25Yrs)
This award will go to the individual or group, which has raised funds for a good cause in an innovative and creative way. Evidence of funds raised may be required.

Courageous
This award is for a young person who has overcome adversity, be that illness, disability or disadvantage, to achieve and exceed their goals with a positive and inspiring attitude on those around them.

Community
This award will go to the individual or group who have who have gone the extra mile to make a significant difference to their local community.

Enterprise
This award is for a young person or group who have set-up a small business in their own time.

Volunteering
This award is for a young person or group who has made a difference in their community through the giving of their time and efforts voluntarily for the benefit of others.

Youth Award of the Year
(NB No entries requested -this is at the discretion of the judges)
An additional, special award presented to a young person from the above categories who has been deemed by the judges to have truly excelled in their endeavours

​The judges

​The entries will be judged by representatives from the organizers. The prizes YEEA Youth Awards in Nottinghamshire, winners will receive a certificate as well as an engraved trophy.

Eligibility for entry

  • You may nominate yourself or another individual or group.
  • Nominees must be within the age range for the relevant category of award (11-25 years unless otherwise stated) during the period of the activity detailed in the submission
  • Entry is restricted to those with UK addresses and is free to enter.
  • The activity in question must either have been undertaken by a person or organisation based in Nottinghamshire and/or for the benefit of a Nottinghamshire-based organisation or individual
  • Submissions must relate to activities or initiatives conducted in the 12 months prior to the closing date for entries
  • Fundraising activities may be supervised by adults, but must be undertaken solely by the young person/group nominated

​Entry rules and procedures

1. Nominations must be submitted by either using the online nomination form or requesting a nomination form from: contact@youthenterprise.academy

2. Complete nomination/entry forms must be sent to:  Youth Enterprise & Employability Academy, C/of 56 Mary Street, Rhodesia, Worksop, S80 3JE Marked “YA21” or complete the online nomination form by Monday October 24  - 2022 at 5pm.

​3. Entries must be accompanied by a clear, concise supporting statement. Independent objective verification from a third party may also be submitted. Additional materials will not be considered.

4. Employees of the organizers, and members of their families, are not eligible to enter the awards.

5. The judges’ decisions are final and awards will be made at their discretion. Not all the awards advertised will be awarded if the judges consider that the criteria have not been met. Additional commendations may be made at the judges’ discretion.

6. The content of any entry may be used for publicity purposes unless the entrant withholds their consent to this in writing. Content submitted online may be accessible publicly through our website. The content and its publication must therefore be lawful.

7. Entrants will be deemed to have accepted these rules and procedures and to have agreed to be bound by them when entering this competition.

8. We regret that feedback cannot be provided on individual entries.

9. By submitting your nomination you are agreeing to be contacted by representatives of the organisers with details of future YEEA Youth Awards in Nottinghamshire.

10. To help us manage and maintain the reputation of the YEEA Youth Awards in Nottinghamshire, you must inform us about any negative media stories relating to the nominated person, school or organisation that have occurred during the 12 months preceding the YEEA Youth Awards ceremony in Nottinghamshire. Negative publicity does not necessarily mean that your entry will be disallowed, however if it is not disclosed, your entry may be invalidated.

11. The competition sponsors reserve the right to report details of competition winners, to take photographs (or other visual media) and to publish such media.

12. Only the winners will be notified by email or telephone contact
